If you’re a first-time user…

  1. To make sure the battery doesn’t drain during shipping, we use a protective battery tab. Please make sure this tab is removed.

  2. Now, when you press the front button, please do so firmly using your whole thumb. When the touch sensor is factory-new, it might need a little extra force the first time to “wake up.”

  3. If you still can't see the LED light when you press the button, open the battery compartment and make sure that the battery is correctly seated. On rare occasions, the battery can get misaligned during shipping.

If you’ve had your Drop Scale for a while...

The most likely reason the LED light doesn’t respond is that the battery is weak or flat, but please open the battery compartment and make sure the battery is correctly seated. 

Now, when you press the front button, do you see the LED light? No? OK, here's your next step:

If you’ve had your scale for less than a year, please contact Drop Support from the same email as you use for your Drop account and we’ll send you a new battery right away.
